HideTV is a live event and engagement platform established by Sniper’s Hide and meant to complement its established community and forum. It offers a range of content tailored for long-range shooting enthusiasts, including live training sessions, gear reviews, event coverage, and several podcasts. HideTV is creator-driven and designed to give content creators in the long-range shooting and tactical space a platform to share expertise and engage their audience. By focusing on creator-led content, HideTV supports both established and emerging creators in the shooting space, helping them build followings, share specialized knowledge without getting silenced, and expand the Sniper’s Hide ecosystem beyond the forum.
Why Does Sniper’s Hide Need HideTV?
Modern engagement calls for live communication. When users communicate on a forum and just come and go as they please, conversations die out and users don’t come back. We felt it was critical to create a space where users could chat in real time and even create content that they could be paid for. Becoming a creator network not only provides value to HideTV because we’re deepening our engagement with our user base and providing a way for users to get more out of their membership that just scrolling through the forums, but users also benefit because many have skills or unique information to share with the community that they deserve to be compensated for.
The Launch
We officially launched HideTV the week of July 4th, 2024 and were met with a wave of positive feedback and requests to create content on the site. In this period, we:
- Began recruiting creators to create videos for HideTV
- Launched a new merch shop and designed official HideTV merch
- Ran contests for subscription and merch giveaways
- Ran several free and premium live streams to get members excited about the new experience
Over The Next Year
Once we launched HideTV, we continued the momentum with:
- Frequent contests
- Monthly merch drops
- More free and subscriber-only content
- New courses
- In-person training sessions
Our goal was and continues to be to make HideTV feel engaging and like there’s always something to do when you land on the site. As we’ve become more established, we’ve been excited to see videos posted frequently, views increase, and subscription numbers rise.
