For the past year we’ve been closely working with an in-person convention to support their ticket purchases for general admission, VIP events, and photo ops. Unfortunately, we can’t name the convention because it’s a secret! But we wanted to talk a bit about how we supported their convention because Realms.tv now supports in person events and ticket scanning worked flawlessly!
A bit of background
We worked closely with this convention for the past year prepping content, helping them launch their realm for ticket purchases, monitoring incoming ticket sales, and ensuring that we have a well-tested system for in-person scanning and ticket redemption.

The weekend of the event
We flew in to support the event and were there on the ground scanning tickets, selling additional tickets, and helping other ticket scanners if any issues popped up. Overall, the event was a success and our ticketing system was there to support every person attending the event.
Conclusion
After a fun weekend, we were able to leave knowing that our ticket system met the needs of this convention and was easily able to scale as additional people came to the door of the event to purchase tickets.
