Since rolling out our platform, we’ve had the opportunity to work with several online events, brands, and creators to create live events online, so we figured now is the perfect time to brag a little bit! If you’re interested in creating a live event or have a conference that needs to reach a larger audience, check out how we used our platform to produce CEwire 2022, the largest online optometric conference.
What’s CEwire?
CEwire is an annual conference for eye care industry leaders to provide courses to other professionals for COPE-approved credit hours and continued education within the field of optometry. Since the event began in 2015, 16,000 doctors have participated in the event each year. The CEwire 2022 event was a new direction in producing an entirely virtual event for this conference.
The opening weekend, we saw:
How our platform supported an education-first approach
Because the event was for education purposes first and foremost with the added benefit of receiving COPE-approved credits, we used our quiz system and were able to develop a system to issue official transcripts after the completion of quizzes and courses. To meet the standards necessary for continuing education, we used:
- Quizzes to receive credit
- Achievement awards for passed courses
- Phrasing system to uniquely brand the platform as an educational space
- Accurate time tracking to ensure course credit
- Automatic transcript and PDF generation for passed courses
How our end-to-end production support helped CEwire
We worked directly with CEwire leading up to the event and as the event was running. We acted as a dedicated resource and support to answer any viewer questions and watched lectures to make sure everything ran smoothly. During the opening weekend, we helped by:
- Being on call for the entirety of the event
- Having developers and stream experts on hand to fix any issues with streams or the CEwire server
- Providing in-chat support for attendees throughout all courses
